The "Health and Wellness Carnival" co-hosted by the Senior Society Foundation and the Dorthy Day Community concluded successfully. The event attracted elderly participants from various ethnic backgrounds, creating a lively atmosphere where participants actively engaged in various activities.
Firstly, the professional health information sessions were well-received, with experts providing detailed explanations on various health topics and answering questions from the elderly. Following this, the stretching exercise sessions allowed the elderly to engage in physical activity in a relaxed atmosphere, enhancing both their physical fitness and mental well-being.
During lunchtime, the sponsor MOONCHEF prepared a nutritious and healthy meal for everyone. The elderly enjoyed delicious food while sharing health tips with each other. In the afternoon, cognitive games offered a fun way for participants to exercise their minds, fostering interaction and friendship within the community.

Senior Society Foundation in collaboration with Mercy Housing, hosted an unforgettable "Health and Wellness Carnival." The event attracted over 80 seniors, creating a lively and heartwarming atmosphere filled with laughter and joy.
The event also welcomed special guests. Tim Yoon, a representative from SCAN Health Plan in Los Angeles, attended to share the joyous moments with the seniors. His presence added significant meaning to the event and demonstrated care and respect for the elderly. Additionally, Eric Rong, the Operations Director of AAMG, was present to enjoy this wonderful event with the seniors.
The success of the "Health and Wellness Carnival" could not have been achieved without the support and effort of all sponsors and volunteers. In this hot summer, the Senior Society Foundation and Fellowship Manor brought an exciting “Health and Wellness Carnival Day” to the community. This event was not only full of fun and entertainment but also provided participants with rich health information and resources, attracting the enthusiastic participation of many seniors.
The success of this carnival was made possible by the generous support of our sponsors. Special thanks to our main sponsors, “SCAN Health Plan” and “Wellcare Health Plan,” who not only provided funding but also set up health consultation booths, offering professional health advice to the seniors. Additionally, our health food sponsor “MoonChef” played a significant role by providing various delicious and nutritious food samples, allowing everyone to enjoy good food while learning more about healthy eating.
One of the highlights of the event was the lucky wheel draw, which attracted many residents. By completing a few simple tasks or games, participants had the chance to enter the draw and win a variety of prizes. These prizes included health food packages, small gifts provided by sponsors, and more.
In addition to the draw, there were several puzzle game booths on site, suitable for participants of different ages. These games were not only fun but also helped enhance participants' intelligence and reaction abilities. Everyone enjoyed the games, which brought laughter and joy while imparting health knowledge.
The “Health and Wellness Carnival Day” was not just an entertainment event but also an important opportunity to promote community health. Participants expressed that through this event, they learned a lot about health and wellness and hoped for more similar activities in the future.

The "Health and Wellness Carnival," jointly organized by the Senior Society Foundation and the Chinatown Community Development Center , was successfully held on July 22th, attracting numerous seniors and creating a lively atmosphere. The event was generously sponsored by Scan Health Plan, AAMG, and Wellcare Health Plan, making the carnival even more vibrant and diverse. The event featured various booths and programs, including health check-ups, nutrition consultations, fun games, and a grand raffle. Seniors enjoyed free health services and participated in engaging activities, enhancing their interactions with each other. The health check-up booths, staffed by professional medical personnel, offered blood pressure tests and other health screenings, ensuring the seniors' well-being. The nutrition consultation booths provided personalized dietary advice to help seniors maintain a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, the event included karaoke performances, allowing seniors to enjoy the shows while soaking in the festive atmosphere. Representatives from AAMG and Wellcare Health interacted with the seniors, answering health-related questions and providing practical health information. Many seniors expressed that the carnival made them feel the community's care and warmth, hoping for more similar events in the future. the Senior Society Foundation and the Chinatown Community Development Center pledged to continue their efforts in offering a variety of activities to promote community harmony and health.
